Hurricane Engine - Revolution in 2025 RAM 1500
A COMBINATION OF TRADITION AND PROGRESS
The RAM 1500 pickup has undergone many changes over its rich history in the name of modernization, efficiency and performance. Since the first truck, the Dodge Brothers Merchants Express, was built in 1929, the Dodge brand has built a rich tradition. It has achieved several world firsts over the past century, with the most notable being the 1946 Dodge Power Wagon truck, when Dodge was the first manufacturer to introduce an all-wheel drive pickup truck.
GENERAČNÍ VÝVOJ
The fifth generation came out in 2019, bringing with it a host of improvements. The car is now built on a reinforced steel frame, it has been given an enlarged cabin for greater passenger comfort, a modern interior with stylish leather stitching, cabin soundproofing and many other features. Few pickup trucks have been a suitable companion on the job while standing up to the city streets with their distinctive modern look.
In the new 2025 model year, it's time for another batch of innovations. These include a new design for the massive front fascia, LED headlights on all trims including the lowest and even a steel bumper on the new top Tungsten trim. The interior has been given a huge 14" infotainment system where the driver can see the images from all the car's cameras for precise off-road driving or for backing up to a trailer with absolute confidence. Then, in front of the passenger seat, the passenger's RAM 1500 display where he can control the navigation or watch his favorite Netflix show. Both will then be pampered by a leather seat with heating, ventilation and massage functions.
ROCK YOU LIKE A HURRICANE
The main change is the all-new engine in the RAM pickup range. It's called the Hurricane and it raises the performance bar even higher than ever before. It's a 3.0L inline six with a twin turbo system. The engine block itself is aluminum with forged pistons and crankshaft. The use of high quality and durable materials is a key element in ensuring reliability of performance and allows the power to be pushed to impressive levels. In addition, compared to its atmospheric predecessor, it reaches maximum torque at just 3,500 rpm and takes full advantage of high quality, higher octane fuel thanks to 9.5:1 internal compression. Across the model range, it is available in two versions.
TECHNOLOGIES WITH PRACTICAL APPLICATIONS
The new Uconnect 5 infotainment system has been given a hefty dose of power and is up to 5 times faster than the previous fourth generation. The audio system isn't far behind in the race against the competition either. The Limited and Longhorn versions already feature a premium Harman Kardon audio kit including a subwoofer as standard equipment. The top-of-the-range Tungsten, meanwhile, is the first among pickups to be sounded by the American brand Klipsch. Developed in Indianapolis, the system is powered by an incredible 1,228-watt amplifier, sending its power to 23 speakers for crystal-clear sound at any volume.
