The new GMC 1500 Sierra AT4 represents the top trim of the model lineup. The vehicle is equipped with the most powerful engine available 6.2L EcoTec3 V8 delivering 420 HP and 624 Nm of torque at 4100 RPM. The engine features Dynamic Fuel Management technology, which deactivates four cylinders when full power is not required. Power is transferred via a 10-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters. The transmission also supports Powertrain Grade Braking, an engine braking assistant that is particularly useful when towing, especially during downhill driving.
GMC Drive Modes allowing the setup of various driving modes that automatically optimize the vehicle’s settings, including the transmission, all-wheel-drive modes (Auto/2H/4H/4L), steering, differential locks, throttle response, traction, stability and braking systems. The Sierra offers the following modes: Normal, designed for balanced on-road driving; Sport, which uses the vehicle’s full power with higher revs, firmer suspension settings, and fully open exhaust valves; Off-Road, suitable for low to medium speeds on gravel or grassy surfaces, adjusting primarily the 4WD, traction, stability, transmission, and brakes; Terrain, ideal for demanding off-road conditions like rock crawling or rutted tracks, which locks the differentials, reduces throttle response and gear shifting for maximum torque; Tow/Haul, specifically for towing, which fine-tunes the stability, traction, transmission, and braking systems; and Snow/Ice, for slippery surfaces.
Adaptive cruise control, collision warning with emergency braking, pedestrian detection with emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, and parking assist. A 360-degree camera system is composed of 10 cameras around the vehicle, offering different views on the large display for easier parking, off-road driving, or trailer connection.
Premium perforated leather in a brown Alpine Umber shade paired with wood trim accents. The dashboard and door panels are leather-wrapped. The front seats are both heated and ventilated, power adjustable in 16 ways, with memory settings for the driver. The heated leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel is standard. The driver has access to a new 12.3-inch fully digital instrument cluster with high resolution, offering several customizable modes, including Google navigation or a comprehensive Off-road mode.
The new generation of the GMC Infotainment system features a large 13.4-inch touchscreen with extended support for Google services and apps via Google Play, full compatibility with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and the popular Amazon Alexa service. The premium sound system is provided by Bose, featuring 12 speakers. The interior also includes an electric sunroof, USB charging ports, auto-dimming mirrors, keyless entry, push-button start, and dual-zone automatic climate control.
The exterior is highlighted by refined 22-inch aluminum wheels combining polished aluminum with dark gray accents. There is also power side steps. The truck bed is protected by a durable spray-on bed liner, and the tailgate is equipped with the Multi-Flex Tailgate system, offering six different tailgate configurations: fully open at 90°, fully open with a load stop for longer items, fully open with an additional 180° drop for easy cargo access, fully open with an integrated step for easy access to the bed, partially open at 90° with a load stop, and partially open to create a smaller work surface at an ideal height.
